International Collaboration

The International Consortium for Low-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer (ICLC) serves as a diverse spectrum of research expertise from countries, such as, Australia, America, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Through collaborative efforts, the ICLC harnesses decades of knowledge, an array of laboratory resources, and vital patient connections. This collective synergy is directed towards enhancing the lives of tens of thousands of women worldwide who are grappling with the challenges posed by low-grade serous ovarian cancer.

Patient Focused

Helping women survive their cancer is at the core of the ICLC's mission. The low-grade serous ovarian cancer patient community exemplifies a strong sense of connection, organization, and motivation, recognizing the significance of research in their fight against the disease.

Since 2018, women affected by low-grade serous cancer have collectively raised over $300,000 through crowdfunding initiatives dedicated to advancing research in this field. Moreover, they have successfully garnered corporate sponsorships to facilitate impactful awareness campaigns, one of which was showcased in the bustling streets of Piccadilly Circus, London.

The ICLC's close collaboration with patient-led research charities such as Cure Our Ovarian Cancer and STAAR Ovarian Cancer further underscores the organization's commitment to empowering women in their battle against cancer.

“As a young woman cancer was never part of the plan. When I feel wobbly and scared about what the future holds, I bring to mind the amazing researchers that I just KNOW are in the trenches, fighting hard everyday to give us more time. When I’m scared, I think of you fighting for me - that gives me hope.”
